SDSI is located in the Netherlands close to several famous yacht- and interior builders. Since 1997 we have provided many services to luxury shipyards, carpenters, interior designers, naval architects, brokers and yacht owners of both classic and modern sailing and motor yachts in the forty to hundred plus meter.
From first sketch to complete production package, the SDSI team will create high quality drawing work and all other kinds of assistance, related to the interior engineering process.

Our company ‘Van Dongen SDSI” was launched in 1997. The SDSI brand stands for Support, Design, Styling and Illustration. Founder Erik van Dongen’s education is in naval architecture. He started his career at Hoek Design in the early 1990’s. SDSI’s first assignment was a multi-disciplinary project that included sail plans, engine systems, deck arrangements, rigging configurations and interiors.
SDSI’s services eventually evolved into engineering specialising in Super Yachts Interiors. SDSI has grown out to a full-service interior yacht engineering studio. A dedicated crew of 17 professionals strive to excel in their job.
SDSI is growing and exploring new territories. While listening to our client’s needs, we constantly innovate and think beyond boundaries, exploring new possibilities. Keeping in mind costs and technical aspects.
